A new study has revealed that babies who are exposed to marijuana while in the womb experience better eyesight by the time they turn four. The study was conducted by researchers of University of Waterloo, Auckland and Brown University, US, who compared a group of tiny tots exposed to marijuana with a group of babies who were clean. The researchers tested the first poop of the exposed babies to track their line of vision. Free Rehab reported that they also experimented to compare the effects alcohol, nicotine, and methamphetamine had on babies when they were introduced to these elements. While nicotine and methamphetamine didn’t reveal any effects, alcohol showed an adverse effect on vision.

YBNL Boss, Olamide who just dropped his 5th studio album “Eyan Mayweather” recently, spoke with Hip TV on why he won’t sign any female artistes yet due to their ‘’short industry life span’’. With Olamide’s YBNL dominated by male artistes, and the likes of Lil Kesh and Adekunle Gold already making a strong stand in the music industry, the rapper has shut down the chance of having a female artiste in the label. However, Olamide revealed if he was going to sign a female artist, she’d have to engulf herself with the hunger he has, that is the ‘‘hunger for success’’.

Multiple award winning songstress, Adele recently revealed that she would love to do an official remix of Drake‘s “Hotline Bling”. “I really want us to do an official remix,” Adele said during a recently published interview with etalk. “I love Drake. Burna Boy recently had an interview with American website The Fader, where he spoke about a number of issues, including the Nigerian music industry. In the interview, the Soke singer described the Nigerian music industry as “political”, saying he didn’t feel like he was part of it.“It’s political, man,” Burna said. “To be honest I don’t really feel like I’m a part of the industry. I don’t get awards because the powers that be don’t really like me. I’m not like everyone else, I won’t do what everyone else does. They don’t like it.” “Everything is really political and I’m not a very good politician. So I don’t really involve myself in all that. Now, TMZ reports, they have decided to list the mansion for more than $20 million. Despite splurging on the Bel Air property, Kim and Kanye then bought another palatial mansion in Hidden Hills, which they have decided to make their LA base. The duo purchased the house, which features two swimming pools, a vineyard, eight bedrooms and 10 bathrooms, in August 2014 after getting tired of waiting for the extensive renovations on their Bel Air home to be completed. Earlier this year, they also bought a $2.925 million house next door to the property in case they want to expand their home further in the future.

Fast rising Mavin Records star, Reekado Banks has opened up that he almost quit music shortly before Don Jazzy picked him up via Twitter. In an interview with Punch he also admitted that one of his biggest dreams in life was to own a house with clean toilets, thats funny though. He said: – “Two years ago, I wanted to quit music. I did not know I would be famous. At that point in my life, I was fed up because everything was not working right for me and it was very tiring. I felt like I was wasting my time doing music and it seemed that everything was working against me. I was very frustrated at the period and it was a very difficult time for me. I was in school and I had it on mind to face my studies squarely and hopefully, get a job later in life. When I was about to give up, I told myself to give music one more chance and God performed a miracle. It is God’s grace that helped me forge ahead. The long awaited All Africa Music Awards, AFRIMA, has come and gone. The chips went down at Eko Hotel, Victoria Island on Sunday, with high hopes on Nigeria artistes to repeat the feat they achieved at the maiden edition of the award in 2014, where they carted home 12 of the 23 continental awards. Pop star Rihanna is reportedly launching her own range of marijuana products branded MaRihanna, which will be available in four US states. The 27-year-old star's range will include marijuana flowers, edibles and concentrates for vapourisers in flavours including Karibbean Kush, Haitian Haze and Jamaica High Grade, reported the New York Magazine. For many hip-hop enthusiasts, the late Tupac Shakur was one of the best to ever do it. But despite selling millions of records and leaving a huge legacy behind, the Hail Mary hit maker did not make it on to Billboard magazine's 10 greatest rappers of all-time list. One person that has taken issue with Tupac's notable absence is fellow West Coast rapper, Snoop Dogg. After the list was released, the Drop It Like It's Hot star slammed Billboard as "disrespectful". Rapper Missy Elliott was left bleeding on the set of her new music video after suffering a number of painful cuts while wearing a tracksuit made from broken glass. The Work It singer, who last released an album in 2005, launched her music comeback with the release of the promo for WTF (Where They From), featuring Pharrell Williams, last week. In the video, Elliott wears a tracksuit, gloves and sunglasses adorned with broken glass to create a mirror ball effect, and she admits the costume caused her a lot of pain. “We collectively knew it had to have some kind of iconic outfit,” she tells i-D magazine. “We all came up with the glass outfit, which was the hardest thing to wear because it was really cut up glass so I was bleeding and everything! I was so agitated but I had to get it done... I was bloody and bloodied. There was blood everywhere!” Elliott spent months working on her idea for the music video, and insists she felt under pressure to get it right.

Sauti Sol is a Kenyan afro-pop band formed in Nairobi by vocalists Bien-Aimé Baraza, Willis Chimano and Savara Mudigi in 2005 Initially an acapella group, guitarist Polycarp Otieno joined before they named themselves Sauti Sol. Sauti Sol released their debut studio album Mwanzo on 4 August 2009, to critical acclaim. Their second studio album, Sol Filosofia , was released on 25 February 2011, earning the group a number of accolades and nominations in the process. On 18 June 2012, the band released a self-titled extended play in collaboration with South African rapper and record producer Spoek Mathambo . Their third studio album, titled Live and Die in Afrika, is still in production, under their imprint label Sauti Sol Entertainment, and is set for release soon.

R2Bees would get the chance to make a little continent wide splash when they perform at an upcoming musical concert in Johannesburg, South Africa. The African Music concert would be held on November 21 in the South African capital, and Ghana’s R2Bees would be on hand to lend their talents to the success of the show.  The two, singer Mugeez and rapper Omar Sterling- are the only Ghanaian acts to make an appearance at the event.

Seemingly out of nowhere, Olamide just announced via Instagram that he’ll be dropping his 5th album, on November 23rd, 2015. The album is expected to feature the hit singles, Bobo, Melo Melo and Lagos Boys. Since 2011, Olamide has released an album every year. Rapsodi, YBNL, Baddest Guy Ever Liveth, and Street OT in 2014. In addition to that he’s dropped a duo album with Phyno (2 kings) earlier this year. So now it’s really official. The 2015 All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) ceremony took place last night Sunday, 15 November at the Eko Hotels,Lagos in Naija. African artists Davido, Diamond Platnumz, Flavour ,Yemi Alade and more were part of the ceremony awards. Mzansi artists Cassper Nyovest, AKA and Busiswa Ngoku who were also attending flew the flag high when they scooped awards on the night. AKA walked away with Best African Collabo, Cassper Nyovest won Best Male Artist in Southern Africa and Busiswa scooped Best Female Southern Africa.
