In The Midst Of His Beef With Meek Mill: Drake’s Latest Album Goes Platinum

Drake’s on top of the world right now.

The Toronto born rapper has just crushed Meek Mill’s feeble attempt at a beef, whilst releasing a couple of hit tracks in the process.

In more good news, ‘If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late’ has just gone platinum, selling over one million copies to cross that most venerable of industry benchmarks.

For comparison, only one other project has gone platinum this year, Taylor Swift’s 1989.

‘If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late’ sold 624,000 copies in its first week of release, and has now sold approximately 1,006,000 as of Monday, August 10. This is Drake’s fourth album to go Platinum, after ‘Thank Me Later’ ‘Take Care’ and ‘Nothing Was The Same’
