One Direction To Headline A-List Cast Of Performers For The 2015 BBC Music Awards

It seems everyone is running an award show these days. The second ever annual BBC Music Awards is set to come off in December at the Genting Arena in Birmingham.

The awards, instituted by the British broadcaster last year- seeks to award excellence in the pop music genre over the preceding 12 months.
This year’s show is slated to occur on the 10th December, to be hosted by Chris Evans and Fearne Cotton. In the run-up, artists have been named who would grace the stage on the big night itself.

These include One Direction, Ellie Goulding, Mumford and Sons, and Little Mix. One Direction are making a return after performing at last year’s ceremony as well; although they have since shed one member and are planning an extended hiatus next year.

The ceremony would also feature performances from Hozier, Jess Glynne and OMI; with most of the acts backed by the BBC Concert Orchestra.

Nominees for the Awards night would be announced in the run-up to the show; winners from the inaugural show included Pharrell and Ed Sheeran.
