Ghanaian Dance hall Act Shatta Wale Banned From VGMA (Vodafone Ghana Music Awards)

There has been speculations that even though Ghanian dancehall artiste-Shatta Wale made a grand submission of his works a few weeks ago for consideration for the 2016 VGMAs, he wouldn’t be eligible to compete.

Today, Charter House, the organisers of the annual VGMA has stated at a press conference that Shatta Wale has been banned from competing—and therefore his works wouldn’t be considered for nominations

The ban is as a result of the unending insults Shatta Wale throws at them—with the recent being insults he bathed them with last year which he has not yet even apologized for.

At this stage, it’s unclear what Shatta Wale’s next action would be—reasonably, he should go ahead to apologize so he can be considered for next year’s award.
