Rihanna's ‘Work’ Remains No.1 on Billboard’s Hot 100
The 28-year-old singer’s hit single,Work is still receiving massive airplay as it remains no.1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 for the eight week in a row. This is a major feat for the singer as she ties with British rock band, The Beatles for second-most total weeks at No. 1 with 59 weeks. Mariah Carey is the leader in that category with 79 weeks.
Yesterday, the Bajan singer took to her instagram page to express her excitement and also appreciate God. “#WORK is number one on the @Billboard #Hot100 for an eighth week…tying me with The Beatles for 59 weeks at number one in total!!! God stays blowing my mind and Navy, you continue to amaze me! ” she wrote.
Rihanna’s Work , which features Canadian rapper, Drake, was also radio’s most-heard song on the first day of its release. According to reports, it was played on more than 1,200 stations and drew the largest audience of 23.4 million audience impressions in a day.
In February, Rihanna became the first and only artist in RIAA Gold & Platinum history to be certified with a 100 million song awards.
