Finally, the 2016 BET Awards ceremony was held last night. Opening the event was the Queen Bey, Beyonce, whose ‘Freedom’ performance featuring the Kendrick Lamar, is still trending all over the world.

Some of the night’s biggest winners include Drake who nabbed the Hip Hop Artist of the year for the male category, while Nicki Minaj installed herself as the Queen of Rap by winning the Best Hip Hop Female for the seventh time.

Other winners include Bryson Tiller who copped the Best Male R&B/Pop Artist, while Beyonce took home the Centric Award and also the Video of the Year for the mind-blowing visual album, ‘Formation’.

Former Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong got sent off in a Russian Premier League game after pointing his outstretched middle finger at the crowd with that beloved, universally The crowd, supporters of Spartak Moscow who were hosting Frimpong’s FC Ufa, had been directing monkey chants at the Ghanaian player. The Black Stars midfielder lost his cool and gestured at the crowd to f*ck off. He received a red card for his troubles.
