Kim Jong-Un To Receive International Award For His ‘Peace, Justice, and Humanity

It seems like a sketch out of an outrageous comedy plot but it is something that is really happening.
The Sukarno Education Foundation in Indonesia has chosen the North Korean leader as the recipient for this year’s global statesman prize for his ‘fight against neo-colonialist imperialism’.
For context, this is an award that has been won by Aung San Suu Kyi and Mahatma Gandhi in the past.

The Sukarno Centre, based in Bali, has judged the North Korean leader to be a champion of the struggle against neo-colonialism, the practice of using capitalism to influence other nations, and for his ‘peace, justice and humanity’.

Kim Jong-un’s grandfather, Kim Il Sung, the founder of the modern state of North Korea, also received the award posthumously in 2001; so maybe it’s not that shocking.

Rachmawati Sukarnoputri, head of the foundation and daughter of the founding leader of Indonesia President Sukarno, has dismissed the allegations of human rights abuses against the Kim Jong-un.

According to her, it’s all just Western propaganda.
