Russell Brand Announces He’s Taking An Indefinite Break From Social Media And His Show ‘The Trews’
The highly influential comedian and activist Russell Brand has announced he’s quitting social media and broadcasting his YouTube show ‘The Trews’.
Brand has built a niche audience and earned a reputation for unbridled candour since arriving on the scene, although he’s so polarising the other half would call him a brainless tool.
After getting some backlash for some of his views in recent times, especially after he called the minute’s silence held for the victims of the Tunisian beach terrorist attacks ‘a minute of bullsh*t”; he announced in a Trews episode that he’s taking a break from all sorts of social media activity, including broadcasting the show.
“I’m not going to be doing the Trews, I’m not going to be on Twitter, or Facebook,” he said. “I think we’ve gone as far as we can with the Trews for now.”
Brand said the show is not over forever, but he’s just going away to get better before his return.
“I’m going away to think and to learn, because it’s worth it and there is a possibility of change.
“Trew be continued. We will be ending on a bad pun. Goodbye for now.”- See more at:
