Starboy Wizkid To Perform Alongside Alicia Keys At The Black Ball 2015

Following the international recognition Wizkid has received since his Ojuelegba hit track went globally viral, the singer is set to perform in New York at the Keep a child alive black ball 2015.

Wizkid will be performing at the 12th edition of Alicia Keys’s “Keep a Child Alive” annual Black Ball as one of the headlining acts, the event will be co-hosted by Alicia Keys and Chris Rock.

This event is slated to go down at Hammerstein Ballroom, New York, United States of America on 5th November, 2015. The theme for the 12th edition is: ‘Afrofuturism’.

Alicia Keys’ Keep a Child Alive initiative was started as far back as 2003 to help in ending the sufferings caused by AIDS.

The budding singer released her first official single in 2013 titled ‘Were niyen’ which was received to critical acclaim. On October 2, 2014, she released another song produced by Password titled ‘ Criminal ’ which did was another great sound. She cites Whitney Houston, Janet Jackson, Brandy and Aaliyah as her musical influences. In an interview granted to ThisDay Live on June 21, 2014, she said she was working on her debut studio album.
