Tuface Idibia Lied To The World About Reason Behind The Change Of Name

Nigerian legendary singer Tuface Idibia who changed his name to '2baba' has lied to his loyal fans and music lovers about the reason for the change of name.

The musician  spoke about the reason for the change of name in an interview with Yaw of Wazobia FM lagos sometime ago, when he embarked on media tour to promote his then released single 'Coded Tinz'. He claimed that it was only right for him to change the name because he was getting older and his close friends and fans called him 2baba. He further added that the major reason was because of the title of chief (Tafidan Kundandan) bestowed on him in Kaduna state of Nigeria.

After several months of investigation into the reason for the sudden change of name, we discovered that, the contract Tuface Idibia signed with former Label Kennis Music includes his name, there by giving Kennis Music rights over his name . As we all know his exit from the label was never a smooth one, because the superstar was streaming a lot of revenues for the label.

Tuface left Kennis Music in 2007 to start up his own label 'Hypertek' managed by Now Muzik owned by Efe Omorogbe. To the world and the media he is a free man after leaving Kennis Music 'BIG LIE' . The truth is as long as he kept on using 'TUFACE IDIBIA' to release contents, Kennis Music still own him and still have shares on revenue generated. My guy had to play smart by Changing his name to '2BABA' sharply to end the unwanted and greedy milking by Kennis Music aka Big bros.

This should be a warning to all desperate upcoming artist, that will rush to sign a contract without a proper review by a Lawyer. Review before signing, so that you don't end up signing your destiny into one man's hand.
