Upcoming Artist & Growing Their Fanbase

In this part of the world, most upcoming Artist are mentally lazy and very impatient, they want everything to roll in very fast and not put in the required energy to grow their fanbase. Some even go as far as buying followers on social media just to look a bit successful. Most of our Artist are living a life of deception just to fit into the set industry standards.

Original Artists understand what it means to start from the scratch and build loyal following. Most of these followers connect to their music and follow up with the entire growth process of the brand . It's better to have 100 loyal followers than to have to have 10k followers that can't support your music .

Are you an upcoming Artist reading this or watching the video. I just want to let you all know that Music business is serious and it requires a lot of energy to really grow a fanbase or even put out a song and promote it.

The good news is hard work really pays, it's better for an artist to understand the rudiments of the business, learn about the business and also play an active role in the early stage of their career before any Record Label comes into the picture. Look at the lives of most of the successful Artist in the music industry today, most of them went through the process of growing their fanbase, recording and paying for their own studio sessions and even promoting their contents. All what they went through was more like a learning process. The internet has really contributed tremendously to the growth of the music industry, promoting and marketing a content is made easy .

Let's keep growing and learning cos African Music is the future .
